About Victory’s Trim & Fascia Services
Replacing trim and fascia at the same time as your main project is the smartest way to protect your home. While they are often overlooked, fresh trim and fascia provide crucial defense against East Coast weather while tying your home’s entire look together.

Exterior Trim
Trim is the molding that goes around your windows, doors, and other edges of your home. It’s used to cover the edges, joints, and other imperfections to give your home a more polished look. Here are just a few benefits of replacing your home’s exterior trim:
- Improves energy efficiency: Properly installed trim seals air gaps around windows and doors, helping regulate your indoor temperature.
- Stops water damage: It acts as a crucial barrier, directing moisture away from the vulnerable seams of your house.
- Elevates your curb appeal: Fresh, color-matched trim frames your home beautifully and makes new siding or windows pop.

Roof Fascia Boards
Fascia is the long, straight board that runs along the lower edge of your roof. It is the architectural transition between your roofline and the rest of your home, and it does a lot of heavy lifting. Upgrading your fascia:
- Secures your gutter system: Fascia boards provide the solid foundation needed to hold up heavy, water-filled gutters during Northeast storms.
- Keeps out pests: A secure fascia board seals off the attic space, preventing birds, squirrels, and insects from nesting inside your roof.
- Protects your roof deck: It shields the wooden edges of your roof from moisture, preventing wood rot and structural damage.
Victory Home Remodeling’s Exterior Reviews
Very positive experience
Installing soffit, fascia and trim on our home and the process has been amazing! The project has been great from the start. I really appreciated the transparency and organic conversation without the typical pushy salesperson. It was an easy decision to go with them. Very positive experience and we are now having them do our roof! Highly recommend.
I had the pleasure of dealing with Victory Home Remodeling
Today I had the pleasure of dealing with Victory Home Remodeling for my 75 year old home. I have own this for 20 plus years and I knew that one of the last things I needed to do on my home is to reside it. Well today I am going to sign a for new siding on my house finally. I have needed it for a while but kept putting it off as I did the inside. They worked hard to keep me in my house and make it look better. They did come today and put on the trim around the roof so I could finally have gutters. Came out great. So after seeing their work first hand I am going forward with the siding also. I can't wait to see the end result. I will probably add more once the job is done. Every person I have dealt with in this company, from the young man with first came to my door. To the woman who inspected for the gutters and trim. This company stays in touch with you at every step of the job. From calls and texts they let you know they are on top of the job. Couldn't ask for a more professional company to intrust my house to for this job.
They were all very detailed, courteous, and transparent
We got our trims and gutters done here in Washington Township and the team at Victory Home Remodeling was phenomenal - they were all very detailed, courteous, and transparent through the whole process. And the materials used were top quality. Definitely would recommend getting a free quote and inspection with them at the very least, opened my eyes to a bunch of issues I wasn't aware of.

Do I Need To Replace My Fascia During A Roof Replacement If It Looks Fine?
If your existing fascia is structurally sound and free of rot, it does not necessarily need to be replaced during a roof installation. However, our experts will thoroughly inspect it during your consultation. Even if fascia looks perfectly fine from the ground, it can often hide water damage or wood rot behind the gutters. If we spot any compromised areas, we will recommend replacing it to ensure your new roof and gutters have a solid, reliable foundation.
Can I Keep My Existing Exterior Trim When Getting New Windows?
It is often possible to keep your existing exterior trim if it is relatively new, undamaged, and securely attached. However, window replacement requires precise capping and sealing to guarantee energy efficiency and prevent water intrusion. If your current trim shows signs of wear, or if it must be disturbed to remove the old window frames properly, replacing it at the same time is the smartest choice. We will assess your current trim during your free estimate and give you an honest recommendation on what is best for your home.
How Much Does Trim And Fascia Installation Cost?
Because we offer trim and fascia upgrades as an add-on to our primary services (such as siding, roofing, and window replacements), the cost is uniquely tailored to your overall project. The exact price depends on several factors, including the total linear footage needed, the specific materials chosen, and whether there is any hidden wood rot that needs to be repaired underneath. During your free, no-obligation consultation, our experts will thoroughly inspect your home and provide a transparent, to-the-penny estimate for your entire exterior upgrade. If you would like to get the exact cost of your remodeling project, please feel free to contact us.
What Are The Signs That My Trim And Fascia Must Be Replaced?
Replacement becomes necessary whenever your existing wood shows signs of rot, severe moisture damage, deep cracking, warping, or structural weakness. Because these elements seal your home’s exterior envelope, leaving compromised wood in place can lead to serious water damage inside your walls or attic, and even invite pest infestations or nesting birds. If the wood feels soft or spongy to the touch, it is no longer doing its job and needs to be replaced.
During Which Exterior Remodeling Projects Are New Trim And Fascia Required?
Depending on the condition of your home, replacing your trim or fascia is often a required step during major exterior upgrades to ensure everything is structurally sound and watertight. We typically require replacement during:
- Gutter Installations: If the fascia board is soft or rotted, it physically cannot hold the weight of a new gutter system, especially when those gutters fill with heavy Northeast rain or snow.
- Roof Replacements: Fascia supports the lower edge of your roofline. If water has leaked past your old shingles over the years, the fascia is often the first board to rot and must be replaced to securely hold the new roof’s drip edge.
- Siding Upgrades: Existing trim often needs to be replaced alongside new siding to guarantee a 100% watertight seal against the elements and to seamlessly match the depth of the new siding panels.
- Window Replacements: If the exterior molding around an old window has water damage or must be disrupted to remove the old frame, new trim is required to properly cap, insulate, and waterproof the newly installed window.
